Bungoma Senator and Senate Minority Leader Moses Masika Wetangula finds himself between the Devil and the Dark Blue Sea after ODM lawmakers made public their intention to end his stint as the Leader of the Minority in the Senate.
Suba Constituency MP, revealed that the decision to engineer Wetangula's ouster was reached during a parliamentary group meeting.
He did not elaborate whether it was the same parliamentary group meeting that was graced by veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga or not.
''The decision to remove him as the leader of the minority in the Senate was reached during a parliamentary group meeting. It was decided that we were going to kick-start the process of finding a replacement to Hon. Wetangula,'' the outspoken legislator said.
Hon. Mbadi made his sentiments yesterday (Monday) during a live interview with a local mainstream television station.
His words come amid heightened debate and speculation on what Wetangula's fate will be.
Many have interpreted the move as one aimed to punish Wetangula over his failure to show up during Raila's mock inauguration.
