Throughout his tenure as a student leader, Babu shaped the politics of Nairobi University spectacularly.

Even though we no longer enjoy his dramatic leadership style at the university, these craziest things he has done while at the helm of the student leadership will hardly dissociate from the mind of many Kenyans.

These crazy things he has done while he was in campus:

1. Spending millions on his birthday

Babu is said to have splashed 14.4 million shillings on his birthday back in October. The items on the list included “tools for enjoyment”, “2 Chrysler limousines for VIP guests”, and Vodka. These items alone cost about Sh300,000, Sh290,000 and Sh713,050 respectively. He also spent part of his born day at the Thomas Bernados Children’s Home along Lang’ata Road, where he is said to have purchased items worth Sh314, 090 for the children to part and parcel of his lavish birthday celebrations.

2. Threatening to reveal priests who are having intimate relationships with university students.

In the wake of proliferation of flirtatious Pastors in the country, Babu did not spare the men of 'God' from his incessant attacks. There was a screenshot of an alleged conversation between Babu and an unknown pastor asking if he was on the list of those preying the lasses of the university. The conversation went viral on social media triggering mixed reactions among the Kenyans who questioned the morality of the pastor Even though he vowed to expose the identities of alleged pastors, he never made the list public.

3. Demanding that Obama visit UoN

Just before US President Obama made his historic trip to Kenya, Babu penned down a letter to the US Ambassador demanding that Obama visits the varsity or else the students would pee on his tree. Obama had planted the said tree when he first came to Kenya back in 2006 when he was still the senator for Illinois.
