The Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital's farewell home services administrator Tony Kirwa has raised concerns over several bodies at the facility that have remained uncollected.Kirwa said most of the uncollected bodies are the ones brought in by the police from crime and accident scenes noting that unclaimed bodies were pushing up the hospital's operational costs."The bodies have stayed here for long without anyone coming to claim them. We are seeking permission to bury them in a mass grave at Kiplombe cemetery," Kirwa said.He further pointed out that among the unclaimed bodies is for an infant and unidentified woman from Turkana county. The two bodies have been at the mortuary since October last year. The MTRH farewell home services administrator blamed the police for the uncollected bodies."Police should follow up to know whether the bodies they have brought to this facility have been collected if not they make arrangements to identify them and inform relatives to help reduce hign number of bodies that stays here for long," noted Kirwa.
