A bruising battle is expected between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga slightly days after they face off in a fresh presidential battle in a date that is yet to be fixed.

Following nullification of Uhuru’s victory by Supreme Court, IEBC is expected to hold a fresh election within sixty days.

Ideally, the two Kenya’s most established politicians would meet before November 1st in compliance with the constitutional provisions.

But before results are declared, the two men are expected to battle for Kitutu Chache South parliamentary seat where a fresh election is expected.

IEBC has set November 7th as the day for contest and the seat is fundamental for either side as they seek to stamp authority in vote rich Gusii region.

With Jubilee bagging four out of 13 possible parliamentary seats, Uhuru is expected to take his campaigns to the region on behalf of Antony Kibagendi, who has been chosen to fly Jubilee flag.

Odinga in his part will have tough options given the presence of Sam Omwando of ODM and Richard Onyonka, the incumbent who at some point served as ODM MP.

The elections were postponed following the death of Leonard Mwamba, a Jubilee candidate who died at the eve of campaigns.

A similar ODM and Jubilee contest is expected also in November 7th at the neighbouring Nyamira County in Bogichora ward. Odinga lost narrowly to Uhuru in August 8 elections if at all results released by IEBC is anything to believe.
