It has all the ingredients of an action-packed Jean Claude Van Damme that would make a movie screenwriter salivate.The story of how the police mounted a surveillance operation to monitor the activities of members of a murderous gang is coming to light.It has got the tongues of the residents of Jogoo Road Estate wagging, with many trying to wrap their minds around how the police were able to pull it off.Clad in undercover Kenya Power uniforms, the police arrived in the estate at 8 a.m in the morning to surveil the area.Some pretended that they were just unemployed folks looking for casual jobs in the area which they got.They even ate from a kiosk selling soup.It was in the evening when they would reveal their true identities.Minutes to 6 p.m, they yanked guns from a carton box and started shooting, killing three suspected gangsters.

Nairobi police commander, Japheth Koome, revealed that the three were members of a gang that has been terrorising Nairobi residents.

''We recovered three firearms and ammunition from them. This was through intelligence.'' He said, according to the Sunday Nation
