Former Deputy speaker and Wiper Party deputy leader Farah Maalim has revealed that veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga had a telephone conversation with former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama before leaving for a meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta at Harambee House.
The former Lagdera lawmaker bemoaned the fact that Raila did not see it fit to reveal to Muthama that he was going to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to Farah, the fact that Raila failed to reveal to Muthama his meeting prior to it happening is a demonstration of the fact that Raila Odinga is not trustworthy.
''Raila Odinga spoke to Muthama an hour before leaving for state house for his meeting with Uhuru Kenyatta after talking to him the whole night. And you know Muthama left mainstream Wiper to fight for Raila because he really wanted a Raila presidency more than anybody else... Now if you can't trust somebody like that, who are you going to trust,'' a livid Farah Maalim said.
The meeting between Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta has triggered a lot of debate amongst Kenyans, especially on social media platforms.
Farah spoke in a panel discussion on an early morning television programme today.
