[Photo|Parliament of Kenya]The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) appointed its vice chairperson Consolata Bucha Nkatha Maina, as the deputy National Returning Officer, two days to the fresh presidential election.She now deputises chairman Wafula Chebukati, once again, in the October 26th poll, following a gazette notice released by the Commission, Tuesday, amid alleged differences from the agency.The opposition's NASA has been accusing Nkatha, of working with the ruling Jubilee government, to rig-in President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is a candidate in the election.NASA withdrew from the election, citing lack of level playing field, and demanded that Nkatha amongst other IEBC Secretariat staff such as CEO Ezra Chiloba, leave the office.Below is the notice.
