The last minute decision by Raila Odinga to block NGC and NEC members from discussion the conduct of NASA co-principals saved Kalonzo Musyoka from ridicule, reports the Sunday Nation.
Last week, Raila chaired the two powerful organs of ODM party in which furious delegates had plotted to lecture Musyoka's 'floppy' politicking method.
Instead, Raila cautioned ODM leaders against discussing relationship with Wiper, ANC and Ford Kenya, arguing that it was 'too early'.
"You must see this coalition as a large traditional family where their are varying interests and sibling rivalries," Raila is understood to have told delegates.
He added: "You must also see it as a marriage. Not all of these marriages are blissful and we must live with that."
An agitated Kalonzo on Friday warned ODM leaders against belittling coalition principals, adding that the trend was dangerous for survival of the coalition.
Understandably, Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati, has been pushing for Raila to ditch his co-principals and stick with ODM party.
According to a source, a section of ODM delegates are said to have walked out when Raila blocked their attempts to lecture Kalonzo.
