Opposition leader Raila Odinga may have changed his flight from Germany three times before making a grand entry to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, says a source privy to Odinga's itinerary.
The Star newspaper reveled that the government had sent a couple of intelligence officers to monitor Odinga's moves in USA.
And the confident who sort anonymity says the veteran leader played mind games with the intelligence officers who were allegedly trailing him.
"He paid for two earlier scheduled flights , seats were left vacant and h traveled totally in a different one," says the source.
The source further adds: "He changed the flight and the route from KLM to KQ via Dubai and completely confused the officers."
Upon his arrival, Odinga's vehicle was shot at by unknown gunmen but his Range Rover was reportedly bullet proof.
Seemingly, Odinga, his son Raila Junior and Winnie Odinga wore bullet proof jackets perhaps aware of an impending attack.
Despite the reports linking the police to an attempted assassination, the police have denied such claims.
