Despite claims by opposition NASA that Jubilee administration rigged August 8th elections, the reverse might be true.
Figures released by IEBC by Thursday evening shows how Jubilee party performed well in regions that were perceived to be NASA strongholds.
True to the outcome, the party also managed to scoop important parliamentary seats in those regions, a reason why the rigging claims could not hold waters.
At Gusii, Jubilee managed to clinch four parliamentary seats and Nyamira Women Representative seat with the same trend replicated in presidential elections where Uhuru won in Nyamira, a region that has traditionally voted Raila Odinga.
In Western region, the home turf of Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi, Jubilee Party scooped 12 parliamentary seats raising questions about NASA’s strength.
Before elections, Uhuru made numerous trips to Western region and Kisii where he issued goodies among them initiating of infrastructural projects.
Similar trend was seen in coastal region where Uhuru’s party won Lamu and Kwale governorship seats with Uhuru’s general performance improving from his 2013 dismal score. He made numerous trips to the region.
