Controversial blogger Robert Alai now claims Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho's brother Said Abdalla Saido alias 'Abu Joho' has been the one running the county government.
Alai, a pro-Jubilee government blogger, said the governor has been out of the country for over a month, paralysing county operations and allowing Saido to run the County affairs.
"Joho has been living in Germany for over one month now. His brother Abu is the one running the affairs of Mombasa County," Alai said on Friday, March 30.
Alai, a former ally to Joho's ODM party leader Raila Odinga, claimed Abu had been spotted on a Friday, when he took money to Odinga.
"Abu was spotted at Serena last Friday when he brought Raila money in a briefcase."
In a social media post, Alai further wondered why Joho's brother was allegedly being driven in government vehicles.
"Why is Abu Joho being driven around in a convoy of GK vehicles?" wondered the controversial blogger.
Joho's absence from the county for weeks now has raised eyebrows, with residents wondering where the governor went to.
