The disqualification of Wavinya Ndeti from vying for the gubernatorial slot in Machakos has confused Wiper supporters and leadership alike. There are details that have emerged linking NASA presidential running mate Kalonzo Musyoka to Wavinya’s woes.
Lawyer Judah Kioko opines that Musyoka being the party leader and a veteran lawyer, he knew that Wavinya was not eligible at the time of presentation as a Wiper candidate to tackle Governor Mutua. Speaking on Citizen TV during the live show Opinion Court, Kioko also said that the vocal Machakos senator Johnson Muthama is among the masterminds behind the probably Wavinya’s political demise.
“The leader of Wiper party is a lawyer, how is it possible that they could give Wavinya a party nomination when they knew IEBC could not clear a candidate who belongs to two political parties. I can also see the hand of one Johnston Muthama in the fall of Wavinya,” said lawyer Judah Kioko.
However, political analyst Professor Edward Kisiangani has defended Wavinya. He opined that there is a hidden force targeting Wavinya. He wondered why looters of public billions are cleared but Wavinya is being victimized over double party membership.
“I feel justice has not been done. It looks like someone is targeting Wavinya Ndeti,” said Professor Edward Kisiangani.
