In what seems to be a move to a good deal, close sources to Mr Musyoka at Wiper revealed that he was not happy with taking oath as the peoples' Deputy President.

Mr Farah Maalim, the Wiper party's deputy leader, yesterday said that Mr Musyoka was against the oath taking saying that it was against the constitution.

"We are just at the genesis of politics and things will not be the same as they were in 2017 because leaders are now realigning themselves for 2022," he said.

Mr Maalim said that NASA co principals, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi were also not comfortable with the swearing in function.

This comes at a time when the opposition has scheduled Mr Musyoka, to take oath of office on February 28.

A source close to the former Vice President, said that he was being considered for a presidential appointment.

A source in Statehouse yesterday neither refused nor accepted the rumour.

"If the President decides to appoint him and he accepts it will be okay and if he turns down it still remains his choice," said the source.

He further failed to reveal whether Mr Musyoka was being considered to take over Keriako Tobiko as the Director of public prosecutions.
