Details have emerged regarding the Friday surprise meeting between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga on Friday.
According to Citizen, the meeting was crafted on Thursday afternoon at State House Nairobi.
Sources privy to the matter indicated that President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto held a lengthy meeting before coming up with the decion to make peace with Mr. Odinga.
After a deal was reached, President Uhuru Kenyatta is said to have called Raila setting up the meeting for Friday morning.
It is reported that President Uhuru later debriefed the Jubilee parliamentary leadership about the intended meeting on Friday morning.
However, NASA co-principals have maintained that they only heard about the meeting through the media.
Speaking on Friday, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula said that NASA will demand an explanation from Raila why he met Uhuru alone.
