At least 10 of the 19 Cabinet Secretaries will survive President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto’s planned cabinet recruitment after they take oath on Tuesday, reports the Sunday Nation.

Also, over half of Principal Secretaries will be shown exit door as the duo plans to reward close allies who played a key role in their reelection.

“Allow us to update you on the process of nominations and appointment once we are through with Tuesday’s ceremony,” said PSC chair Margret Kobia.

Among those tipped to make a new entry to Uhuru’s team include Ababu Namwamba, Isaac Ruto, and Peter Munya among other election losers.

But tipped to retain their seats are Fred Matiang’i, Sicily Kariuki, Mwangi Kiunjuri, Willy Bett, Amina Mohammed, James Macharia. Others are Najib Balala, Charles Keter and Eugine Wamalwa.

Those believed to be in danger of being dropped are Hassan Wario, Raychelle Omamo, Dan Kazungu, Aden Mohammed and Judy Wakhungu.

Uhuru will take oath of office on Tuesday amid political tensions across the country following the opposition’s decision to boycott presidential repeat poll.
