Passaris said the message was meant to find out whether the Wiper leader would attend the annual meeting at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi.

Speaking during an interview in NTV after the ceremony, she, however, said Kalonzo did not respond to the text message.

Passaris said she was happy after Kalonzo showed up for the prayers meeting.

"I had just texted Kalonzo in the morning asking him if he would make it to the event but he didn't reply. So when I heard him called to the front, I was so excited to see him there," Passaris said.

Passaris further said she wished Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula and his Amani National Congress (ANC) counterpart  Musalia Mudavadi attended the meeting as well.

The duo snubbed the event.

"I am sure today he felt the same way Raila did during the Harambee meeting. That time it was our leader meeting President Kenyatta alone. Today, he came alone to the event, unlike the other leaders. Though, I really wish Mudavadi and Wetangula were also present," Passaris said.
