It is coming to light that the reason why Members of Parliament choose certain committees over others has to do with the perks.Money has been a key consideration given that, the Salaries and Remuneration Commission reduced the salaries of the legislators.Five committees with the highest allowances have attracted huge interest amongst them the Public Accounts Committee(PAC) and the Public Investment Committee (PIC).In some instances, the number of MPs who expressed interest in certain committees far exceeded the number required.
