South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro says that he made frantic calls to ascertain the whereabouts of Captain Barbara Kamau, on the fateful day when the aircraft crashed.
While the rescue teams took over 24 hours to establish the whereabouts of the plane and its occupants, Osoro had whoever made phone calls to his friend, Captain Kamau.
Having established a formal working relationship, Osoro tried to reach his friend when he heard news about disappearance of the plane.
"I made several calls to her during the fateful day and none was answered. I even tried until the last minute when her phone went off perhaps due to power.
"It is that midnight that I established my friend had perhaps died. It was unusual that she did not pick the calls. I had used her aircraft several times before," Wrote Osoro.
Although Aviation's Authority blames bad weather for the crash, fresh investigations and accounts by Barbara's friends blame the Wilson Air Control for the tragedy.
Journalist Jepkorir Lagat said the Air Control mislead Barbara by failing to hand-over to JKIA team in time thus losing signal within the Aberdares before partly hitting a hill.
