Manskul Patel, the owner of the Patel killer dam, which broke its banks and killed 48 people on Thursday, is a 'reclusive, nice and quiet' person, reports the Standard.
Besides killing 48 people, the killer dam also displaced hundreds of people who were working on the farm owned by the business mogul.
Among few people who have ever interacted with Patel is former Nakuru North MP Koigi Wa Wamwere, who describes the entrepreneur as a mean person.
"I once met one of the Patel long ago when I was representing the region. They are very reclusive people besides doing little CSR activities in the region," he said.
"I am told some of the residents reported the issue to the management but nothing was done to repair the dam. Serious investigations should be done," he said.
Not much is known about Manskul Patel but Koigi described him as a quiet man aged between 50-60 years who rarely interacts with locals.
Already, the state through the Director of Public Prosecutions, has initiated investigations pertaining the tragedy.
