National Super Alliance (NASA) will review the constitution in a move that will see the four principals share power amongst themselves.
While speaking yesterday, Amani National Congress deputy party leader, Kipruto Arap Kirwa said NASA’s key agenda is to ensure an all-inclusive government.
“We are not excited about power, we will go talk to the people because there is need to amend the constitution. The current constitution has lasted for over seven years and we feel there is need to amend it,” Kirwa said.
Kipruto added that the coalition will look at the power arrangement within the government and amend the same if need be.
He however dismissed claims by deputy president William Ruto that the newly formed coalition has got nothing new to offer to Kenyans saying that NASA is not about the four principals but a coalition with which the mandate of the people shall triumph.
At the same time, Kirwa sent a strong signal to the Jubilee saying the country shall witness a stronger opposition wave than the one that uprooted the KANU regime in 2002.
End…
