President Uhuru Kenyatta is determined to have NASA principal Kalonzo Musyoka join his Jubilee party, claims South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro.
Last week, a senior lawyer within the ODM party claimed that Kalonzo was integral behind postponement of the controversial swearing-in that had been planned by NASA.
"He made a call and advised against swearing-in. He wanted us to use moderate approaches,' the lawyer had claimed, though in confidence.
And at the moment, Osoro claims, Jubilee is fighting hard to hoodwink Kalonzo to drop his hard stand as a way of neutralizing NASA.
To perfect the scheme, he adds, all Wiper Democratic agenda in parliament are backed by Jubilee, an indication that Kalonzo's stay in NASA is not guaranteed.
"Wiper's agenda in parliament is backed by Jubilee. We saw that when Wiper challenged our nominees to PSC. Jubilee backed Wiper stand," he said in reference to Ben Momanyi's protest.
A list of three MPs fronted to PSC had been opposed by Wiper, a move that was also backed by Majority Leader Aden Duale.
Before October polls, Raila Odinga claimed that Jubilee was plotting to create a position for Kalonzo as a scheme to wretch NASA.
"I am aware of the scheme to woo Kalonzo. They want to create a ministerial position for him but that cannot happen," he said.
Although he has remained silent, Kalonzo is expected this weekend from Germany where he is taking care of his ailing wife, Pauline Kalonzo.
