A leading newspaper has blown the cover off a strategy that the opposition intends to pursue to challenge Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election.

NASA insiders have intimated that the coalition is in the process of drafting an appeal to Antonio Guterres who is the U.N chief.

Those tasked with working on the appeal will brief NASA leader Raila Odinga.

Experts involved include David Ndii, Junet Mohammed, Richard Onyonka, and Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyong'o.

An unidentified diplomat is also part of the team.

The Supreme Court dismissed two petitions to challenge the validity of the October 26 rerun.

''We will be telling the United Nations that no election happened on October 26. It was a charade.'' Peter Kaluma told the media.

Odinga's spirited attempts to have the UN involvement in the country's political crisis has failed so far.
