ODM leaders have come out to unveil a new way of cutting costs during the campaigns for NASA.

According to Kisumu governor Anyang’ Nyong’o, leaders from the region will volunteer as election agents.

The former Senator said that NASA recruits will only be genuine agents, who have conviction, to oversee a transparent electoral process.

Nyong’o spoke after meeting the county NASA presidential campaign secretariat on Friday.

“We are ready to serve the coalition as agents in the election at no cost,” he said.

He further urged other residents to volunteer their time.

Those in the meeting included MPs James Nyikal (Seme) and Fred Ouda (Kisumu Central), MCAs and county ODM officials led by Ayiecho Olweny.

“Starting this week we will lead other governors in Nyanza and Western in vigorous campaigns aimed at consolidating Raila’s support in the two regions. The first campaign will take place in Kisii county,” he said.

He warned against ID buying.
