The National Super Alliance (Nasa) is planning to precipitate a constitutional crisis in the country a day after the August 8 polls, Jubilee secretary general Raphael Tuju has revealed.Speaking in an interview on NTV Wednesday, the former Information minister said Nasa plans to achieve this by filing numerous court cases before Justice George Odunga seeking to bar the electoral agency from announcing results from certain constituencies."I can bet my last coin that come August 9 Nasa lawyers will troop to the High Court specifically to Justice Odunga seeking orders stopping the IEBC from announcing results from particular constituencies. This will put the country in a constitutional crisis because there will be appeals and counter appeals. And that's why we maintain that Justice Odunga must recuse himself from Nasa related cases before the country finds itself in such a dangerous state, " Tuju said.Tuju has previously accused the judge of conflict of interest owing to his close relationship with Nasa' lead consel James Orengo. However in a swift rejoinder, Nasa lawyer Danstan Omari rubbished the allegations saying Jubilee was obsessed with lynching the judiciary and cherry picking judges who are sympathetic to their appeals.Tuju's sentiments came barely hours after Chief Justice David Maraga read the riot act against politicians whom he said have a penchant for intimidating the judiciary.
