Former Vice President Musalia Mudavadi could be the biggest winner in NASA coalition should Raila Odinga retire.
The two have worked closely despite going separate ways in 2013 when Mudavadi decided to run as president.
And Gideon Mamboleo says Mudavadi’s decision to work with Odinga will pay dividends in future polls due to his loyalty.
“He has stayed calm and strong despite serving as Vice President. He has to work with Odinga and due to Western Kenya factor; he is likely to get favours.
“That is logical given that in 2017, he fully supported Raila Odinga and worked as Chief campaigner, a post that demeans his position in politics. He is destined for greater things,” he says.
After 2007 elections, Musalia, who was Odinga’s running mate, was appointed Deputy Prime Minister due to his close association with Odinga.
He is tipped to go for 2022 presidency, a race that may feature Deputy President William Ruto, Baringo senator Gideon Moi among others.
