Controversial blogger Robert Alai has said that Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) leader Raila Amolo Odinga is at least at least 3 trillion rich, reports Tuko.co.ke.
Alai argues that the former prime Minister also National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate is among the wealthiest Kenyans alive.
He notes that the ODM Leader received Sh110 billion in campaign money from Germany in 2007. Raila, however, lost the election to former President Mwai Kibaki despite opposing the outcome of the polls.
The blogger claims that the Luo political kingpin received the said amount to enable him fund his campaigns as he sought to rise to power, which he did not manage.
The revelation of Alai come at a time when the Jubilee government is seeking for ways to stop foreign funds being injected into the opposition leaders’ accounts ahead of the polls.
Meanwhile, NASA Leaders have maintained that they will not go to the polls if the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) fails to withdraw an appeal on vote tallying at the High Court as we head to the polls.
“Votes will be counted at the constituency level alone, but if they change it, there would be no elections. Nkaissery can arrest me if he wants to,” said Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama as quoted by Kenyans.co.ke.
