ODM leader Raila Odinga will be on his way to government despite his persistent denial in public gatherings, a source has revealed.
But before he is appointed Chief Cabinet Secretary, parliament will amend the constitution in a Bill that has already been prepared.
Among the privileges of the post would be attending Cabinet meetings, supervising government functions and appearing in parliament for grilling.
"The constitutional amendment bill was one of the agreement and we shall have him coordinating government businesses.
"At times, he will appear in parliament for grilling. The bill shall be presented in parliament very soon," said the source.
While the post sounds unfamiliar, its roles are however similar to those of Prime Minister in Commonwealth government setups.
Already, Raila is enjoying privileges since signing the peace deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta, including enhanced security.
