For months now, partnership in NASA affiliates has been on its knees with ousting of Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula from Senate Minority Leadership.

"NASA died when the three gentlemen skipped Raila's swearing-in at Uhuru Park. Such an outfit is no longer existing," said ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna.

Also, both Mudavadi, Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka had questioned Raila's decision to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta without their involvement.

But according to an insider, who spoke in confidence, Raila met Mudavadi, the pioneer of NASA coalition in a meeting that lasted for three hours.

"I can confirm that the two met for three hours in a meeting that went into late mid night. The meeting was only attended by the two and Kisumu governor Anyang' Nyong'o.

"They agreed to revamp NASA. Raila also elaborated his decision to work with Uhuru. They also agreed to hold a retreat by the end of May to dispel fallout claims," said the source.

The last time the two met was few days after the controversial January swearing in with Mudavadi skipping all other subsequent meetings including that of plotting to rescue Wetangula.

Subsequently, Mudavadi ganged up with Wetangula and reignited the Western Kenya unity, a move that saw them condemn Raila's decision to work with Uhuru without their consent.
