A list has emerged of Africa's most deadly preachers said to be con artists using the name of God to steal from the masses.
Interesting to note is that eight Nairobi-linked pastors have been named in the list of shame.
The men of God are said to have landed themselves on the list on account of fake miracles, sleeping with people's wives, fake cleansing and killing of people.
According to Answers Africa, the following were caught in the list of shame:
1. Pastor James Maina Ng'ang'a
James Ng'ang'a is the founder and owner of the Neno Evangelism Centre located right near Parliament Buildings in Nairobi. He is reported to have allegedly taken the life of Mercy Njeri in an accident he claims innocence.
The ex-Shimo la Tewa convict is whispered to be performing a lot of miracles.
2. Bishop Gilbert Deya
Although he was earlier based in Nairobi, Deya is currently in the UK.
He claims to have supernatural powers to make women pregnant. He has been accused of sexual assaults and child smuggling. His most famous scandal was the Miracle Babies.
He has been charged with three counts of rape and one count of attempted rape against his sheep.
3. Prophetess Lucy Nduta
The first thing she claims is that she heals HIV/AIDS.
She has sold prayers to her followers at a good price. She however landed in jail eventually.
She is the mother to self-declared Prophet Dr Victor Kanyari.
4. Prophet Victor Kanyari
The self-declared prophet of the 310 infamy is son to Prophetess Lucy Nduta.
He still operates his Salvation Healing Ministry even after he was busted live on TV for cheating his followers with fake miracles.
For you to receive God, you must first pay God a registration fee of Sh310.
5. Pastor Michael Njoroge
The Fire Gospel Ministry leader had his name destroyed after a prostitute came out to claim she used to be his regular sex partner and that the pastor would pay her to give false testimonies.
He at one point claimed that gunmen had sprayed his car with bullets but that he had left it unscathed after being protected by God. Police however dismissed his claims as lies.
6. Bishop Thomas Wahome
He is the founder and owner of the Helicopter Ministries Church.
Among his biggest scandals was when he claimed that God had granted him access to the Book of Life and that he was now charging his followers Sh1000 to tell them their futures.
He also charged his followers Sh1200 to touch his clothes and receive healing.
7. Pastor Alan Kiuna
He runs the Jubilee Christian Centre with his wife.
The publication says that he has transformed the temple into a market place wheresecret businesses are run including prostitution.
They also have many 'miracles' to their name, something that makes the sheep increase their offerings.
8. Pastor Arthur Gitonga
He is the propounder of the Redeemed Gospel Churches.
Apart from running a luxurious life, he is accused of having grabbed land in Huruma to build his church.
He is also accused of charging between Sh200 to Sh20000 as costs for the miracles he performs.
