Controversial blogger Robert Alai has given ODM serious condition concerning the party nominations saying that ODM 'heavyweight' should be issued with direct nominations.
In a post on his official Facebook page which attracted mixed reactions, Alai said after massive calls from the proponents of democracy that ODM should conduct free and fair nominations, the Orange party should bow to no pressure.
"I say NO!!! We are not going to treat anyone equally in ODM. You will only reap where you invest in. Some contestants have invested so much in ODM," said Alai in his post.
"Some have dedicated their resources and life throughout the year in ODM. If Oparanya has been funding all ODM helicopter flights in 4 years, how do you expect him to be treated the same with a newcomer?" added Alai.
Alai further condemned newcomers in the party who want to be given an equal treatment as senior ODM stalwarts politicians.
"We have invested everything in the party. You might not see it but it is an investment. So you expect me still to queue with the newbies?" said Alai.
The blogger reaffirmed that ODM ticket is a preference for only those who have fought hard for the party and not anybody else who he termed as a mole and drug dealer.
"ODM ticket MUST ONLY be given to people who have stood with the party. People who have supported the struggle. We don't want drug dealers and corrupt moles in the party," he said.
