National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders have been claiming that they have 10 million votes out of the 19 million registered voters.

It is not yet clear how the alliance came up with this number considering the fact that IEBC had not yet audited the register when that claims surfaced.

It is evident that the alliance wants to convince its supporters that it has numbers.

Just like what happened in 2013 when Mutahi Ngunyi hit headlines because of his theory, The Tyranny of Numbers, NASA Leaders have looked for ways to counter the same.

However, the claims of the alliance are likely to cost Kenyans dearly come August. It will be hard to convince supporters of Cord leader Raila Amolo Odinga and Wiper leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka among others that their team lost fairly.

It is unimaginable to lose when you are already 10 million votes ahead as claimed by the former prime minister. According to a section of political analysts, NASA has already sensed defeat.

The leaders of the alliance have continued to express lack of confidence in the Independent Boundaries and Electoral Commission (IEBC) yet they expect the same body to grand them victory in August. Despite the changes undertaken in the electoral body, leaders of the opposition still do not have faith that it will conduct free and fair polls.
