Jubilee administration has been accused of being behind the rivalries between NASA affiliate parties.
According to Nominated MP George Osotsi, the ruling party is planning to dismember NASA in a move aimed at weakening the opposition.
"I cannot rule out that Jubilee is fuelling the current conflict experienced in NASA, to make it appear like the coalition is falling apart," he wrote in an opinion piece published by The Standard, Monday.
The ANC legislator called on NASA principals Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetang'ula to move in and help the opposition from breaking up.
"I urge NASA leaders to be wary of the machinations of our main competitor Jubilee, whose leaders may mischievously attempt to cause discord within our party," Osotsi added.
There have been talks of an imminent split within NASA over leadership positions in parliament.
Jubilee Party, however, has denied the allegations that there were plans to dismember the opposition.
"We have no intention of weakening the opposition. We want a vibrant opposition so that we can take on each other on issues that will make this country grow," said Aden Duale, the Majority Leader in the National Assembly.
