Former Lands Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu has hit out at Kitui General hospital for having more television sets than beds used by patients.
Ngilu had made the impromptu visit to the hospital accompanied by the media and was shocked by the huge number of television sets mounted in the wards sharing her experience on twitter.
“A visit to the Kitui General. Shocking details of a hospital with over 50 television sets, but no water or drugs,” she tweeted.
The outspoken former Cabinet Secretary has indicated she will be vying for the Kitui gubernatorial come 2017.
However, many Twitter users have accused Ngila of conducting a smear campaign against the current Governor with some even challenging her to outline her achievements when she was minister for health between 2003 and 2007.
