All research assistants and about 6 clerks involved in the drafting of the judgment that led to the unprecedented annulment of the August 8 poll have either been transferred or dismissed, a leading local newspaper has revealed.
According to the revelation by the Sunday Nation, two clerks have already been moved to other stations while four others have been handed letters but are yet to be transferred.
Also revealed is the fact that none of the researchers who were involved in the first petition were involved in the second petition.
Esther Nyaiyaki, the Supreme Court registrar who wrote a report that attracted the ire of Jubilee supporters has been avoiding public appearances.
The judiciary came to her defence in the face of vicious attacks of people who felt that she doctored her report.
To ease their task, judges are assigned two legal assistants each.
Insiders have intimated that the reason why the researchers were dropped is that they are suspected to have leaked information to outsiders.
