Kenyatta National Hospital boss Lily Koros was on Friday evening sent on compulsory leave.
This happened barely a day after a neurosurgeon in the hospital performed a brain surgery on a wrong patient.
Two weeks ago the hospital was still hitting headlines after a lady by the name Edinah Kemunto stole an infant from an ailing woman at the hospital.
The incident attracted a public outrage as members of the public called for the resignation of the hospital's boss Lily Koros.
Ms Kemunto, a trader at a local market in Kisii was later arrested and the baby handed over to his parents.
In what shocked the public is a confession by Kemunto that she had a ready buyer for the baby.
A week ago, a lady by the name Edinah Kemunto stole an infant from an ailing woman at the hospital.
According to the baby's father Job ouko, he had handed the baby to Kemunto to carry her as he assisted his wife only for her to disappear.
It was reported that Kemunto sneaked out of the facility with the baby.
The incident took place exactly a month after the facility's top management had announced that security had been beefed up in the hospital.
The announcement was made after the hospital yet again hit news headlines following claims that women were being raped on their way from the hospital's maternity wards.
The hospital denied the claims.
