Lawyer Miguna Miguna claims two leaders among the NASA top brass celebrated his detention and subsequent deportation after he presided over Raila Odinga's inauguration on January 30.
In a strongly worded post published on his social media pages, Miguna claimed NASA CEO Norman Magaya and strategist David Ndii had ill motives over his fate.
Taking a swipe at the duo, Miguna further questioned what transpired during an alleged conference call between them and the Kenyan Diaspora.
“First, I take issue with the fact that you purported to speak on behalf of the NRM Kenya, a movement you have not been part of,” the self-declared NRM general stated.
He said he was aware that none of his fellow NRM Kenya leaders had been informed about Ndii’s and Magaya’s conference call.
Miguna said the two had no courtesy of contacting him as “the NRM Ke General, before, during or after my illegal abduction, detention and purported deportation.”
The former Nairobi county gubernatorial aspirant observed that the silence of NASA boss Magaya and strategist Ndii was an indication they were celebrating his tribulations.“It’s as if you were celebrating about the flagrant abuse of my rights with the Jubilee despots!”
“That’s extremely unfortunate!”
Miguna lamented that despite the NASA leaders having his local and Canadian numbers including his WhatsApp number, neither of them has called or texted him to show solidarity since he was released and forcefully deported from the country.
The NRM general also put the two on notice over the purported appointment of “acting NRM Kenya leaders.”
He said: “I wish to remind you that leaders for movements aren’t appointed, they emerge organically from the movement.”
Miguna called on the NASA leaders to desist from putting in place any constitution and president’s council for the NRM group.
Although the government banned the operations of the group terming it an illegal association, Miguna said; “I have no idea what these are except to reiterate the point that movements aren’t NGOs or political parties and they don’t have written constitutions for very good reasons.”
Miguna asked Ndii to keep off from NRM activities as he has never interfered with the NASA strategist’s People’s Assembly process.
“Let’s respect our respective jurisdictional mandates,” he stated.
