The public and very dramatic meeting between President Uhuru Kenyatta and veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga hit us like a bolt from the blue.
It took both Jubilee and NASA faithfuls by surprise, but not these two individuals who were privy to the intricate details of the meeting prior to its happening.
They are former Standard and now Raila Odinga's spokesperson journalist Dennis Onyango and Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohammed.
They were the only people who accompanied the NASA supremo to Harambee House that Friday.
When President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga emerged from Harambee House to address the press, Dennis Onyango and Junet Mohammed were seen behind him.
Their presence is a demonstration of the fact that Raila Odinga trusts the two very much as to have them accompany him to a meeting that was a closely-guarded affair.
