Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka in his book “Against all Odds’ recalls the day he ran into the Armenian brothers, Artur Margaryan and Artur Sargasyan.
In the publication, Kalonzo notes that he was introduced to the two brothers by his nephew Nyiva Mwendwa.
He states that the duo promised to supply former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s team with bulletproof vehicles.
“I had gone to the Summit Club on the 13th floor of Grand Regency Hotel, now Laico Regency, when I ran into them (Arturs). Ken Ngumbao, a nephew of Nyiva Mwendwa, is the man who introduced them to me," the book reads in part.
“They claimed they were security consultants and offered to supply the ODM presidential campaign team with bullet proof vehicles,” Kalonzo reveals.
In the book, he also notes that the two tricked him into taking photos only to see them all over media.
He says he had never met the two brothers before.
“Before I left, they requested a photo session with me. We took a picture with them and Ngumbao. Later, this picture was widely circulated and some of my political opponents tried to link me with the Arturs, claiming I brought them to Kenya,” Kalonzo notes.
The two brothers' presence in the country caused a political storm.
It still remains unclear why the two who were later deported by the government visited the country.
