President Uhuru Kenyatta has extended an olive branch to losers in various seats from Western region as a way to counter NASA’s influence ahead of October elections.
During the August 8th election, Uhuru slightly improved from his 2013 disastrous outing by managing significant vote, even though he lost to Raila Odinga.
And in his new strategy, Uhuru has launched an onslaught by reaching out to various losers in the vote rich region, a move that could further cripple Odinga’s influence.
“Our main aim is to make Western a battle ground and we have just started. The plan is working well,” said Ababu Namwamba, one of the losers who have since joined Jubilee.
He added:”We are also reaching elected leaders of good will and we shall ensure NASA scores little in Western region.”
Among those who have since joined include Paul Otuoma, Moses Akaranga, Fred Gumo, and Yusuf Chanzu among many local leaders.
Last week, Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto pitched tent in the vote rich region and urged locals to dump the opposition.
