Despite not showing interest at the much hyped Raila Odinga's inauguration, President Uhuru Kenyatta is keen to have it thwarted, a senior police officer has revealed.
At a Church service in Nairobi on Sunday, Deputy President William Ruto ruled out any interference even with Nairobi police boss Japheth Koome promising fireworks.
"As Jubilee, we are only interested in development. We had several months of campaigning and that is now history," he said.
A local paper on Sunday hinted a possible crack down on NASA senior politicians before Tuesday to avert the ceremony with IG Joseph Boinet believed to have chaired series of meetings.
And the officer, who spoke in confidence, says police will cordon off all major stadiums in NASA strongholds a part from restraining senior NASA politicians.
"Plans are in place to ensure all major venues including in NASA controlled counties are under police control. They will be declared no go zone before Tuesday.
"And of course, senior politicians will be restrained against molising supporters to any of those venues that will be under control," he said.
Already, Uhuru Park has been closed down by Nairobi County government to pave way for renovation despite NASA insisting the ceremony will be held in the historical field.
Sources close to NASA luminaries say that once Raila and his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka take oath, they shall take refuge in undisclosed location.
