[Photo|Nasa coalition]Opposition Members of Parliament (MPs) are slated for a consultative meeting, a day after they snubbed President Uhuru Kenyattas joint 12th Parliament address, on Tuesday September 12.Through its Senate Minority leader Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula, the National Super Alliance (Nasa) advised its elected and Nominated members, both of the National and Senate Assemblies, to snub the inauguration ceremony, held at parliament buildings.Nasa said Uhuru was acting contrary to the Constitution, given that he was not the newly elected president, after the Supreme Court of Kenya annulled his August 8 victory.Only a newly elected president should inaugurate a joint parliamentary sitting according to Nasa. However, President Kenyatta went ahead and addressed the House, in absence of the Opposition MPs.In response, Nasa's MPs meeting would be held at the Okoa Kenya Offices in Lavington Nairobi, Wednesday after which they would address the media. The meeting would be led by Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga (ODM), Kalonzo Musyoka (WDM-K), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Wetangula (Ford Kenya).
