Garissa Township Member of Parliament and Leader of the Majority Hon. Aden Duale has revealed the agenda of a closed-door meeting with Sweden's Ambassador to Kenya H.E. Anna Jardfelt when she paid him a courtesy call last week.
The outspoken lawmaker revealed that among the issues discussed, the issue of the dramatic handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga was discussed.
''Met Sweden Ambassador to Kenya, H.E. Anna Jardfelt when she paid a courtesy call to my office at Parliament Buildings. We discussed issues of mutual interest between Kenya and Sweden, parliamentary and development co-operation and support for the Big 4 legacy projects and devolution success in the frontier counties. We welcomed the new initiative of President Uhuru Kenyatta and Rt. Hon Raila Odinga on building bridges to unite the country.'' He posted on his official Facebook page.
Duale has in recent weeks been hosting Ambassadors to discuss issues of national importance.
His meeting with the Swedish Ambassador comes in the wake of easing tensions in the country following the dramatic meeting between Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
