Ndemo Nyagarama, one of the sons to Nyamira County boss John Nyagarama, breathed his last at Nairobi Hospital on Monday evening.
For weeks now, the soft spoken son of the second term ODM governor, has been fighting for his life at the ICU according to family sources.
A statement released by the county's deputy governor Amos Nyaribo, indicated that Mr. Ndemo, succumbed to acute meningitis.
"We regret to announce the death of Ndemo Nyagarama, the beloved son to His Excellency John Nyagarama.
"Mr. Ndemo passed away on Monday evening as he battled acute meningitis at the Nairobi Hospital for months now," read the statement.
Throughout various social media forums associated with the county, messages of condolences flooded as senior leaders joined.
Apparently, Governor Nyagarama is also in the US where he has been undergoing treatment for three weeks now.
