Three hours before his unprecedented nomination as Nairobi's deputy governor, estranged lawyer Miguna Miguna had called for governor Mike Sonko's prosecution.
On Wednesday night, Sonko nominated Miguna as his desputy despite the latter being in viscious battle with State House over his citizenship.
"I hereby forward the name of lawyer na Miguna for vetting in the assembly. He meets all the requirements," Sonko said in a letter to Speaker Beatrice Elachi.
But hours before, Miguna had cancelled his much awaited trip to Nairobi, perhaps to save the counry from another airport drama after authorities failed to facilitate his re-entry to Kenya.
On his Facebook, Miguna narrated how Sonko had allegedly poured poop at Jacaranda grounds to prevent NASA supporters from holding a rally, a move that led to the death of five people.
"Mike Sonko poured raw sewer at Jacaranda to prevent NASA from holding a rally.
" More than five people were killed but he has never been charged. He is now Raila Odinga's best friend," he said.
While Miguna Miguna is yet to speak on the recent developments, his lawyer Cliff Ombeta however picked the letter.
The Nairobi county boss is reportedly protesting against alleged intimidations by State House.
