Although a busy man due to heavy roles in the country’s security organs, Joseph Nkaissery was a mad lover of sports.
Details surrounding his last movements before untimely death on Friday reveal that he had visited Moi Sports Centre Kasarani to ensure security is guaranteed ahead of World Junior Athletics championship.
But apart from athletics, Nkaissery was a diehard fan of Manchester United, English Premier League most successful club.
“However committed I am, I must watch Manchester United play at all times,” he revealed to K24 TV crew in one of his interviews.
“I have followed the club since my teenage and we have shared sorrows and successes together,” he added.
His favourite player he acknowledges was midfield maestro Paul Scholes who made over 600 appearances before his retirement in 2013.
Although the club has not won EPL lately, last season new manager Jose Mourinho guided the team to its first Uefa Cup victory for the first time in as many years.
