Opposition leader Raila Odinga has got plenty of options to choose should he lose to President Uhuru Kenyatta in Tuesday’s elections.
Having played high level politics and even served as Prime Minister, Odinga could decide to quit from political arena, a move that is backed by a deal he signed with fellow politicians in NASA coalition.
Under the agreement, it is believed that Odinga pledged to support a different candidate in 2022 elections whether he wins or not.
Another likely event could be that Odinga is likely to work with fellow Panafricanist in various missions around the world, with a string backing of African Union and United Nations.
Sometimes in 2014, a year after losing elections, Odinga could board chattered planes across the world for unknown assignments.
After disputed 2008 elections, Odinga was appointed a special envoy to Ivory Coast, following a similar Post Election Violence to that of Kenya.
Globally, he has been accorded special treatment by presidents of powerful countries such as in America, Russia, India, Germany and China.
But the most certain is that Kenya will not again hear from the politician who has probably set the bar high in Kenyan politics.
