Over the weekend, Raila represented the government of Kenya in freedom fighter Winnie Mandela's funeral before holding talks with senior government officials.

And in the meeting, notes long term aide Silas Jakakimba, the two leaders emphasized on the stability of Kenya and the entire continent at large.

"It was more of statesmen meeting and obviously he (Ramaphosa) congratulated Raila for agreeing to work with Uhuru.

"Further, he asked him to use his negotiation power to help stabilise Somalia, South Sudan and Ethiopia," said Jakakimba.

Significantly, the two leaders reportedly agreed to market Africa's diverse culture and products in international meetings whenever opportunity arises.

The three countries have been undergoing political turmoil, a situation which reportedly worries Ramaphosa, who was elected president to Africa's arguably largest economy.

At personal level, the two leaders enjoy mutual relationship, a reason why Raila had proposed Ramaphosa to negotiate Kenya's crisis in 2008.
