National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate, Raila Amolo Odinga has maintained that he will not take part in the fresh election if there are no changes in the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Speaking during an exclusive interview on KTN Yesterday, Raila, a former Prime Minister, said that the commission is yet to incorporate their concerns ahead of the fresh polls, which he said is unacceptable.
“Issues that were raised at the Supreme Court have not been addressed by IEBC. The commission does not appreciate the magnitude of the problem that we have,” stressed Raila, as quoted by Standard.
The remarks come after President Uhuru said that he will lead members of parliament to impeach Raila if he wins the fresh election.
Leaders of the alliance have, however, dismissed saying that his claims are baseless and kicks of a dying horse.
“This shows the desperation level the President is displaying by pressing every panic button before we go to the election. He has no capacity in his coalition whatsoever to impeach President Raila or any other President ... within the current context of the two Houses of Parliament,” he said, as quoted by Star.
