After months of animosity between the two leaders, they finally buried their differences on Thursday when Uhuru visited the coastal town.

For few minutes, the two leaders shared light jokes and Uhuru was seen embracing the governor, who apparently has been at loggerheads with him.

"The president was categorical that elections were over and he is ready to work with Joho. He said his only focus is improving the lives of people," said Felix Mariera, one of Joho's allies.

He added: "Also, Uhuru said he does not hold any grudge and that he will support the county all the time. He also pledged to partner with the county in cleaning the city."

Throughout last year, Joho was barred from attending Uhuru's functions and at one point, he was locked at his house.

Yet again, Joho had his security withdrawn for more than two times over his radical stand on Jubilee administration.
