Kenyan Legend Victor Wanyama of Tottenham Hotspurs on Tuesday paid a courtesy call to the Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga.
The NASA leader took to social media to share the news of their meeting. The Luo political kingpin revealed that Wanyama promised to assist Kenya to play at the World Cup.
“Great meeting the Kenyan Legend Victor Wanyama of Tottenham Hotspurs. He stopped by Capitol Hill and promised to carry Kenya to the next World Cup. I congratulated him on mentoring young Kenyans and encouraging them to follow his footsteps and lift the standards of football and professional sports in general in the country,” he wrote.
The meeting comes after Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama and his elder brother MacDonald Mariga revealed their marriage plans when they appeared on JKL.
Wanyama said he was waiting for the right time before he walks down the aisle. “I am of the opinion that when the right time comes, everything will fall into place.”
Wanyama and Mariga are among the most respected football stars in the nation. The two have put the nation on the international map during different competitions.
They have also mentored several youths in the nation who want to become great footballers in future.
